Biography:

London-based musician Soasha is carving a distinctive path as a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Blending intricate synth work with delicate guitar-driven songwriting, her music exists in the tension between the digital and the deeply human.

With roots in both underground electronic scenes and intimate acoustic traditions, Soasha brings emotional honesty to every project—whether she's producing textured, beat-driven tracks or penning stripped-back ballads. As a songwriter, she brings a strong instinct for melody and lyrical nuance across genres, often collaborating closely with artists to shape lyrics that reflect their voice and vision—tailored to the specific sound and style they’re creating.

In early 2025, Soasha debuted her electronic works at Deaf Rave at Ambika (London) with a 30-minute live set curated specifically for frequency-matched vests for the hearing impaired, focusing on sensory-driven sound design and physical resonance. She is currently preparing to release her first single, “I'm Butter,” in June—a feircely unique single that blends alt-rock traditions with modular synth soundscapes and experimental production. ‘I’m Butter’ will be the first release off her upcoming EP ‘re:spiral’, set to be shared in early Summer.

Outside of her own creative output, Soasha is active across several areas of the music industry. As a music journalist across a wide-range of long standing music magazines, interviewing artists and penning features focused on storytelling and creative process. She also works as an event planner and promoter, running experimental electronic nights, most notably Wonky Plonky Electronk—a night celebrating the avant-garde and nonconformist electronic, with a residency in All Is Joy, Soho and regular tours across the South and East of England.

As an experienced music publicist, Soasha has curated and led campaigns for artists across a wide range of genres. Having previously headed the publicity team at Decent Music PR, she managed campaigns for international and emerging acts alike, before moving into the world of freelance. Notable clients included Kina, the first Italian artist to reach one billion streams, Jeoff Harris, a Billboard-topping producer and solo artist, and many others outstanding artists at various levels of their career.

This combination of creative and industry roles allows Soasha to engage with music from multiple angles—supporting artists, building scenes, and contributing to the wider cultural conversation around sound and storytelling.

Biography:

Hello! I'm Soasha. Or as my journalism knows me, Sasha Renn. Thank you for visiting my website and taking an interest in what I'm up to.

It's cliche, but I really have been making music for as long as I can remember. I have always been fascinated by the expressive and heartfelt nature of sound, and performance was love at first stage. Haing enjoyed making music for a long time, I have finally begun to push myself to put myself out there and release my work.

I have been studying songwriting and production for a while now; I first went to Goldsmiths University to study before the pandemic hit, and have just finished up my degree at the University of Westminster. My degree has been the most explorative experience, and led me down paths I hadn't considered before; ghost-writing and producing for others.

In my break during my degree, I explored my creativity, delved into different sounds,  and took the time to find where my music fits within the wider industry and, well, in my life. Honestly, I debated giving it all up, as many of us creatives do. To stop creating. To stop trying. What I discovered, however, was that I couldn't. I decided to go back to my studies and to pursue my artistic career, and I don't regret it for a moment.

I am very passionate about music as a tool for healing. I have delved into the world of binaural tones as a therapeutic tool for mental health through my dissertation, and have a broad interest as music therapy as an often-ignored tool to help those in need.

Throughout my creative journey, I have become enamoured with modular synths and the ability for electronic sounds to encapsulate and express human emotion. As Soasha, I aim to bring my pop, acoustic background to my love for the electronic to create soundscapes that embody the feeling in the words.

I love to collaborate and have been very fortunate in the past year to have co-written with other artists, produce alongside other incredible producers, provide vocals to garage artists, and to be a helping hand in the artistic expression of others.

If any of this sounds up your street, I would love to work with you. Thank you for reading... and let's make something cool!
